Ricardo de la Torre

INTERIOR

NEVILLE

This five-storey, 500 m2 house is the perfect dialogue between past and present in central London. No expense has been spared in creating a modern, timeless and elegant aesthetic. The interior design studio Ricardo de la Torre has been commissioned to renovate the interior of this early 20th century townhouse.

The premise of this project was to create a modern and timeless house with a small oasis inside, where simplicity and subtle sophistication give way to the wide variety of artworks collected by the clients on their travels around the world and from their different residences.

The renovation did not want to ignore the historical character of the house. To this end, the carpentry has been maintained, as well as the staircase, the fireplace and the original mouldings, which are present in the different rooms.
On the semi-basement floor there is a TV room, a guest room, a laundry room and an English patio. On the ground floor there is a dining room, a kitchen, an office and the entrance hall to the garden. A lounge and a guest toilet occupy the first floor. The two upper floors house the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and dressing room, and two guest bedrooms with independent bathrooms.

To create a homogeneous design concept, Ricardo de la Torre has custom-designed all the furniture in this house and the design pieces have been selected in detail. Fine materials such as wood, natural stones, textiles such as linens, wools and cottons provide naturalness, elegance and sophistication.
