Ricardo de la Torre

INTERIOR

Count of Aranda

In this flat in Madrid's Barrio de Salamanca, antique frescoes on the ceiling are mixed with vintage furniture and modern design. Ricardo de la Torre loves eclecticism. He understands it as the ability to adapt to the client's needs, always with a personal eye that is used to transforming spaces by mixing and matching. This is what happens in this magnificent flat that the interior designer has completely refurbished and decorated.

De la Torre has sought to integrate the classic architectural style with a decoration in keeping with the owners' tastes: modern, dynamic and warm. This warmth is provided by the beige and white background colours and the natural oak floors by Anticato. In the kitchen and bathrooms, marble from the firm Canu has been chosen in white Macael and black Marquina, a noble material that adds light to the light that already bathes the home. The use of luxury upholstery with an enveloping feel - sofas, armchairs or headboards designed in suede and velvet - reinforce this pleasant sensation.
As for the furniture, the mix is once again the decorative philosophy. Antiques, vintage pieces from the sixties and modern furniture designed by Ricardo de la Torre's own studio coexist in the house. Finally, we must not forget art as a creator of powerful focal points. Its overwhelming chromaticism and the beauty of the selected pieces add exclusivity and a light, one hundred percent contemporary elegance.
